Manual Therapy Insurance Program:

The American Manual Medicine Association through the American Medical Massage Association provides its members with access to a professional liability insurance policy that covers medical massage and manual therapy.

Compilation of Research

The American Manual Medicine Association publishes the latest information on manual medicine that is gathered from research in biomechanics, physical and occupational therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, manual therapy and other related fields of study. This information is then used:

• To improve or innovate new treatment techniques
• To produce educational materials
• To write timely articles and papers

National Board Examination and Certification

The American Manual Medicine Association provides access to training and national board certification in medical manual therapy, medical and practical acupuncture, sports science, therapeutic modalities, and clinical rehabilitation.

• Establishing measurable training and educational standards in manual therapy and acupuncture.
• Recognizing the competency and rewarding the obtainments of medical manual therapists and acupuncturists.
• Differentiating between qualified professional nationally board certified manual therapists and acupuncturists and those who lack appropriate training and certification
• Establishing the highest standards in testing and examination in manual medicine including medical and practical acupuncture

Expansion of Manual Medicine and Acupuncture Education and Curriculum

The American Manual Medicine Association has written and produced training manuals and educational materials for manual therapy and acupuncture education and approved AMMA educational facilities have access to these materials.
